A very warm welcome from Mrs Hunter and Mrs Crook. We work together in Class 1 along with Mrs Aisbitt.
My name is Mrs Hunter and I have taught at Bickerstaffe C.E School for nine years now, it is a wonderful place where I am lucky to know all the children!
I lead on many subjects in our school, from Phonics, Geography, History and Reading! I am also EYFS co-ordinator. I have experience in Reception and Key stage One but I have taught in Reception for many years now! I am really passionate about EYFS and believe that it is the fundamental stage of a child's learning journey! I am really excited this year to become a Forest School Practitioner and can't wait to develop our own Forest School area in Class 1!
I love being outside and getting messy!
When I'm not at school I love spending time with my family, my husband and my two little girls!
Hello, my name is Mrs Crook.
As an experienced teacher, I am excited to return to EYFS this year! I believe EYFS is a fundamental part of school life and I enjoy getting to know each individual and their parents whilst providing learning opportunities that are creative and fun! As R.E. and PSHE Leader at Bickerstaffe, the moral, spiritual and emotional well-being of children is central to all I do. I feel it is imperative for children to have wide learning opportunities which prepares them for our new world whilst giving them strategies and a spiritual grounding that will help them move forward during life’s journey.
I am looking forward to all our adventures together this year!
We are delighted and very excited that you and your child have joined us and we look forward to working in partnership with you.
During their time in Reception, your child children will meet lots of new friends, learn many new skills and take part in exciting activities both in the classroom and outdoors.
We will regularly update the school Twitter page to share photographs of our indoor and outdoor learning experiences, our achievements as well as exciting and interesting activities that we have planned for Class 1.
