Safeguarding

At Bickerstaffe Primary School we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. The governing body has a duty of care to all pupils and members of the school community. We ensure that there are consistent and effective safeguarding policies and procedures in place to support children, families and staff at school.

As a school our aim is to work together to safeguard children by:

  • protecting children from maltreatment
  • preventing impairment of children's health and development
  • ensuring children are growing up in circumstances consistent with the provision of safe and effective care
  • taking action to ensure all children have the best outcomes.
